Flying Into Masset from Vancouver (South Terminal)

Pacific Coastal  flies from Vancouver to Masset (schedule changes, so please check). Copper Beech House is located 5 minutes from the Masset airport.

Flying Into Sandpit from Vancouver

If you are flying into Sandspit (located on Moresby Island) from Vancouver you will need to hire a car. It’s a good idea to book your car ahead of time, due to high demand. (You can also rent cars in Queen Charlotte/Daajing Giids from Budget.) From the airport you would take the shuttle bus (bookings should be made in advance with Eagle Transit) to Alliford Bay and then take the ferry across to Skidegate Landing on Graham Island. It is approximately 15 minutes from the airport to the ferry terminal and then a 15-minute ferry ride across. You can check the BC Ferries website for the running times but they usually link up with the flights (provided the flights are on time).

From Skidegate Landing, it is approximately a 1 hour and 20-minute drive north to Masset. There is only one highway linking all the towns. Follow signs to Skidegate, Tlell, Port Clements and then Masset.
When you get to Masset, turn left at the causeway. Turn left again and you are on Delkatla. Take the next left and park on left, across from Copper Beech House. We are located at 1590 Delkatla (corner of Delkatla and Collison) on the water side and overlooking the government dock.

Travelling From Prince Rupert

Your options to travel to Haida Gwaii from Prince Rupert are either by seaplane or ferry. All larger carriers (i.e., Pacific Coastal and Air Canada) only operate between Vancouver and Haida Gwaii.

North Pacific seaplanes were bought out earlier in 2013 by Inland Air Charters which is based in Prince Rupert and depart from Seal Cove.

The ferry leaves Prince Rupert and arrives at Skidegate Landing. Schedules change, so please contact BC Ferries to make your booking.

On Island Transportation

We recommend that guests hire a car whilst visiting the islands. There is no public transit and some popular sites around Masset including North Beach and Tow hill are located 25km from town. That’s a long walk. (For car rental information see Planning Your Visit to Haida Gwaii.)
